E's first day of school

He is soooooo excited! Can you tell he just woke up?

S on E's first day of school. He is very excited too!
"Mom are we done taking pictures yet?"E outside of his classroom.

Eating his first breakfast at school...french toast sticks, OJ, and chocolate milk.Sitting at his "desk" in his classroom.
Leaving his first day of school.

I have to admit the first day of school was not as hard for me as I thought it would be. E was devastated when he found out he would not be going to school on Saturday. I love the fact that he loves school so much because it makes life so much easier at our house...he gets ready for bed and goes to bed when he is supposed to with no questions asked. I told him that he could stay up a little later on Friday nights and he was still ready to go to bed by 9:30...his regular bedtime is 8:30.
Tomorrow starts a full week of school, hopefully E will stay excited all week. He has a great teacher and I know that will help him stay excited all year!

I have decided to try to commit to blogging. I know I won't be able to do it every day since school starts on Thursday, but even if I can do it a couple times a week it will be a good start! I know it will keep everyone updated on our lives especially since E is starting school.

I think for today will blog about what I am grateful for...

...God! He has blessed me so much! I feel even more blessed since I made a new personal committment to him.

...my husband. He tries to his best to make me happy (even though I know most of the time I make it rather difficult). He took a job closer to my hometown so I could be closer to my family and so our kids could go to a small school that I know is a good school. This is very important to bothof us. We keep each other in check when it comes to our money. It is a really good feeling to be able to pay our bills on time every month and not have bill collectors calling all of the time. He is so good with our children. He takes care of them when I am not feeling well and keeps them entertained so I can get some rest. He helps me take care of the house and the yard. Since we live in town now we have to keep our yard up and he is doing a very good job of that.

...my children. Both of my boys are very special in their own ways. I love how E is so passionate about trains. We live about a block and a half from the railroad tracks and he still gets excited when a train goes by. Also, he is so excited about school starting that he can hardly stand himself. He will get to eat breakfast and lunch at school and he loves the thought of that. He was able to get in the same class as his new buddy and he is very excited about that! S is rolling over and trying to crawl, he is eating baby food and seems like he never gets full. He is growing so quickly!

...small town living! I went back to the city this weekend for my neice's wedding and I most definitely DO NOT miss the hustle and bustle of the city life. Living in a small town is completely different than living in the city! People in a small town do not get in a hurry for anything it is great!

My Sister and my boys

This past weekend my sister graduated from nursing school. I am so proud of her! I am also so glad my family and I could attend her graduation. We also celebrated 2 of my nephew's birthdays with a pizza and pool party at the motel we were staying at. I love the times my family can get together.

On our way home we dropped E off at my sister-in-law's house, he is going to spend the week with her and her family. On Sunday she is going to take him to her sister's house and he will spend next week with her. Two weeks without my baby!! It has been hard but I have my other baby to help preoccupy me. The longest E and I have been apart is 4 days, and that was 2 years ago! I am just glad that he will be too busy to miss me and J too much.

I started S on cereal last week and food this week. So far he has had rice cereal, rice with apple cereal, rice with banana cereal, carrots and green beans. So far so good! He hasn't once made the bitter food face. It seems like he can't get enough when you feed him! I have a feeling he is going to be my "big" boy.
