E got a letter from his cousin yesterday and he was so excited! It is just amazing to see the joy on your child's face when they receive something unexpected. He was so excited that he said he had to send her a letter right then. He colored a picture for her and his daddy took him to the post office today to mail it. I hope E and his cousin can continue to "write" back and forth to each other since we moved away...I know that is the best way to keep in touch and I just hope my son does not learn from my example because I am the world's worst about keeping in touch.
The boys and I were supposed to go to the city this weekend but I don't think we are going to be able to. Before, if we wanted to do something, we would just jump in the car and go and worry about how to pay for the gas, etc. later. Well, we are trying to do better about our money now so since we really don't have the money to go I made the adult decision not to go...as much as we all really wanted to I just couldn't justify it. But, it is also good because we started going to a new church and they have dinners the 2nd Sunday of every month and I really wanted to go to that too. J won't be able to go, but I think the boys and I are going to go. The ladies at the Church told me not to bring anything this time since it our first time, they said we could be their guests, but I have trouble going to a dinner and not bringing at least something. I am still going to church with my mom on Sunday mornings because there are no children at the new church...I literally mean there are no children...only my 2! So, we still go with my mom so E can learn about God with other children. He is at the age that I really don't think it matters what bible class he goes to because they all basically teach the same thing to children.
I talked to my best friend from high school and her husband tonight, and we are making plans to get together once a week, every other week, or once a month...whatever works out for all of us...to eat dinner and play cards or whatever. It will be so great to reconnect with them after all the years we have lost touch! My youngest and their only child are 2 months apart...mine a boy and theirs a girl...I think that will be great if they can become as good of friends as me and T are!

Hi!
Thanks for the update! I don't really think you can continue to say how bad you are at keeping in touch since you have been posting on your blog! Isn't that cute about the kids writing back and forth? I'm sorry you won't be coming this weekend, but I certainly understand and you're right, it was an adult decision and you guys are doing well!
I'm on my way to post an update. That son-in-law of mine keeps giving me a hard time because I don't blog often enough, but I keep reminding him that I now have a JOB! It really cuts into my "social" time!
Love you and kiss those babies for me!

Hey...glad things are going well. Miss you guys! You are not allowed to play Continental Rummy with those "others"...that is strictly reserved for when you all come here and play with us! Ok! By the way, mom...funny that I work all day, and Liz has two jobs and she blogs often. That is no excuse!!
